How can you help a Scout understand his or her Duty to God and Country? Two Scouters from the National Capital Area Council decided they wanted to try to answer that question and in the process developed a huge resource book called A Scout's Duty to God and Country.

We are pleased to present that book online for your use in support of Scouting. Michael F. Bowman and James Bryant's A Scout's Duty to God and Country, 5th Edition, 1998 is a full length 256 page book that provides detailed information on the religious emblem programs authorized by the Boy Scouts of America, adult religious awards, related adult scouting associations, and more. The book also includes dozens of ideas for a Scout's Own service and lots of citizenship building information.

The book is copyrighted and will be available here for Scouters to use without any charge. However, the book may not be reproduced for commercial purposes without the prior consent of the authors and other copyright holders.
