YOUTH EMBLEMS:

TIGER CUBS God and Me

CUB SCOUTS Saint Gregory

WEBELOS SCOUTS Saint Gregory

ABOUT THE EMBLEMS:

God and Me: The God and Me Emblem may be earned as early as 1st Grade. For more detailed information concerning the requirements of the God and Me religious emblem, look under the heading "Protestant" in Part 3 of this book.

Saint Gregory: The Saint Gregory Emblem may be earned by Webelos Scouts in Grades 4 and 5 and takes about two years to complete. Cub Scouts working on the Saint Gregory Emblem learn about:

1. Their relationship to God starting with an understanding of Genesis.

2. The history of the Armenian Church.

3. The liturgy of the Armenian Church including the four parts of Badaraks.

4. How they are a part of the Church through participation, home life, and the celebration of feasts.

5. Symbols used in the Armenian Church.

6. The Church Community, including the early church and current activities.

7. How to do God's work through Christian service, including a service project.

Ararat: The Ararat Emblem may only be earned by Scouts and Venturers who have earned the rank of first class or who have been in Exploring for at least a year. The program includes church history, church practices, history, Christian witness, world outreach, fellowship, citizenship and service and is divided into three sections of study. Each section includes:

1. Christian Faith with emphasis on the Church calendar and lectionary, Sacraments, Church calendar, Church history and prayer.

2. Christian Witness.

3. World Outreach.

4. Service Projects (two are required).

5. Christian Fellowship.
