Shapping Tomorrow - BSA in the 1980s

The Shaping Tomorrow study in the early 1980s brought us the improvements in Boy Scouting and Cub Scouting and a "new Exploring Marketing" program among other things. These initiatives resulted in BSA's Foundations for Growth program which launched Tiger Cubs, Bear Enrichment, Today's Family and Explorer Marketing.

The specific goals that Tiger Cubs met was that of increasing Quality Units (through an increase in youth and adult membership and number of Cub Scout Packs) and Financial Resources (by inexpensively managing and creating Tiger Cub groups).

The Shaping Tomorrow goals were Lifetime Values, Quality Units, Human Resources, and Financial Resources.
