Song - McTavish is Dead

Sing loud, with vigor.

Description: Just a quick and silly song. It is sung in 'a round' becoming faster and faster and faster and faster and....

Mc Tavish is dead,
and his brother don't know it,
his brother is dead
and Mc Tavish don't know it,
They both lie dead in the very same bed,
and neither one knows that the other is dead.

Note: This song is sung to the tune of The Irish Washerwoman, a traditional Irish song. When singing "McTavish is Dead", the idea is to sing it through several times, going faster each time. (Note info courtesy of Stephen M. Richmond, Sr.)
