Camping Facilities

(1) Fairfax County operates a park on what used to be the site of the Woodrow Wilson Boy Scout Camp (largely a ruin and very primitive). Camping is available for Scouting units, but may be hard to reserve. - Pohick Bay Regional Park - http://www.nvrpa.org/pohickbay.html

(2) Fairfax County has a camping facility for group camps at http://www.co.fairfax.va.us/parks/campgrounds.htm

(3) There may be group camping at the Manasas National Battlefield Park - http://www.nps.gov/mana/

(4) The National Capital Area Council has a primitive camping area known as the Claude Moore Farm in Fairfax County - contact them and see whether you could use the property.

(5) Bull Run Regional Park http://www.nvrpa.org/bullrunpark.html has group camping facilities

(6) Mason Neck State Park http://www.dcr.state.va.us/parks/masonnec.htm has group camping.

(7) Prince William Forest Park http://www.nps.gov/prwi/ has group facilities or did recently
