DPRV-L is an e-mail discussion group for scouts and scouters who do their scouting in the Des Plaines River Valley in the suburban area along the near west side of Chicago. While similar in purpose to the Scouting forums on the Internet (SCOUTS-L Discussion list and 'rec.scouting' on usenet) as well as interest group forums on services like CompuServe (CIS) and America OnLine (AOL), the DPRV-L List will focus primarily on the geographic region of the DesPlaines River Valley area of Northeastern Illinois.

The DPRV-L discussion list is an open forum for youth and adults with an interest in Scouting. This group provides opportunities for members to interact, to compare notes and seek ideas on their programs, discuss organizational concerns, and communicate with other members nearby. Feel free to discuss any topic regarding your own experiences in Scouting. To subscribe send an e-mail message to:
