Description Collection includes materials related to W.D. Boyce, Boy Scouting, Girl Scouting and Campfire.  Exhibits are rotated.  Includes reference library. Operated by a Not-for-profit corporation

Big Ed's Summary: The Ottawa Scouting Museum houses the Zitelman Collection of Rockford, the Sullivan Collection of Friendship Village, and memorabilia from local donors. It was founded to promote and preserve the colorful and proud traditions of Boy Scouting, Girl Scouting and Camp Fire.

There are uniforms, badges, and pins on display as well as a huge array of scout items such as watches, canteens, dolls, even a bicycle! Our literature collection has Scout hand books from countries around the world, a handbook in Braille and all sorts of scouting stories. You'll see a full scale campsite and be able to play with a working Pinewood derby track set-up.

For many visitors, the museum will bring back memories of their own days in Scouting. Hopefully it will be a fun and education experience for all.
