BALOO'S THOUGHTS

We have a newsletter at USSSP (United States Scouting Service Project) called USSSP-L. We have feature news about additions or changes to the usscouts.org website, hints about where to find Scouting resources on the Internet, ScoutNews stories, and more. This newsletter is free and will arrive in your in-box in simple text format. You can subscribe by going to this URL http://www.usscouts.org/ussspenews.html Just click on the subscribe button. You don't need to include any text. Just send the mail.

We have had some requests for Baloo's Bugle to come out earlier than what it does now. As a result we will publish two issues of Baloo's Bugle in May. The first will have information for July and the second one for August. After this we will continue to publish one issue a month. This will allow you to have theme-related information over a month ahead of time to use in planning. We will try this for one year and see how it works for you -- our readers. Hopefully, this will meet with success for all of you and Baloo! Let us know what you think.

Last year around this time there were some summertime activities in Baloo's Bugle. Again in Leader's Ideas you will find some more activities for during the summer to keep your pack active and to work on the Summertime Activity Award. There are also summertime activity ideas in the Cub Scout Leader Book.

Materials found in Baloo's Bugle may be used by Scouters for Scouting activities provided that USSSP, Baloo's Bugle and the original contributors are cited as the source of the material.
